The Jessamine Amateur Wireless Society exists to promote amateur radio in Central Kentucky and surrounding areas and provide an opportunity for like minded hams to share their knowledge and resources with each other and have a good time.

If you have an interest in amateur radio and are located in Central Kentucky,
please come to one of our monthly meetings and find out what a friendly bunch we are.

Meetings are held at 7pm on the 2nd Monday of every month at the
St. Joseph/ RJ Corman Ambulatory Care Center 1250 Keene Road Nicholasville, KY.

During events such as inclement weather or other emergency events tune to the JAWS repeater network for important announcements of interest to the local community. Our members are affiliated with the ARRL, ARES, SKYWARN, CERT, and many other organizations which exist to promote the safety and welfare of our community.

JAWS sponsors an FCC accredited W5YI VE team that is available to administer all levels of amateur license testing.
